Raiders snapped europrofile lock on back upvc patio door to get in, but were disturbed by occupant awakening. Suspects made off stealing owner’s car – blue Audi A4 registration BD09 MZN. A previously stolen Fiesta from Brighouse was abandoned at the house. Burnlee, Sept 25. Intruder got in through unlocked ground floor window, but was unable to get into main part of the house due to a locked inner door. Nothing stolen. Holmfirth, Sept 24. Sneak in thief got inside through unlocked front door and threw paint across room causing damage to furniture. TV, mobile phone and cash stolen. Netherthong, Sept 21. Raider snapped lock on back upvc door to get into house. Wallet, mobile phone and car/house keys stolen and keys used to steal blue BMW 520 registration ML09 BOH. Holmbridge, Sept 26. Door forced to get inside outbuilding. Search made but nothing stolen. Netherthong, Sept 26. Raider forced off padlock from outhouse door to get inside, but nothing was stolen.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE Meltham, Sept 26. Four vertical garden fence slats damaged. Victim shouted out and offenders make off in direction of Broadlands. Suspects: two or three white males, approx 17-years-old, 5ft 7ins, one wearing red hooded top and another wearing a caramel coloured jumper. Both had dark hair. Royal Mail, Station Road, Holmfirth, Sept 23. Vandal scrawled graffiti on walls with silver paint using the tag "dvp". Netherthong, Sept 23. Kitchen window smashed.
VEHICLE CRIMEBrockholes, Sept 23. Vandal kicked vehicle damaging bodywork. Cartworth Moor, Sept 23. All four tyres on car slashed. Meltham, Sept 21. Attempt made to force lock on the back door. Fred Lawton & Son Ltd, Meltham Mills Road, Meltham, Sept 24. Thief approached motorbike in car park and removed ignition barrel which was left at the scene. Motorbike stolen but later recovered. Meltham, Sept 23. Steering lock on moped forced damaging ignition barrel. Moped started up and thief made off on it. Moped later recovered. Holme, Sept 27. Thief smashed offside window to get into vehicle and steal handbag. Meltham, Sept 25. Raider forced entry to side door and stole quantity of power tools. Oldfield, Sept 25. Raider got into car parked in outbuilding at farm and make off in it leaving two pedal cycles at the scene. Grey Toyota Yaris registration YE08 OFB. Wooldale, Sept 23. Raider damaged ignition and cut heavy duty padlocks and chains in attempt to steal motorbike.
THEFT New Mill, Sept 21. Wheeled bin stolen from pavement outside house.
