Street shows
Northumberland Street - 4.30pm-10pm
Grab a hot drink from the food market and get yourself a good spot in the crowd for fantastic shows in Northumberland Street from some of the UK's best street entertainers.

HumanSect
St George's Square - 6:45 and 8:15pm
After wowing crowds in Byram Arcade last year, Urban Angels are welcomed back to Festival of Light again this year. Watch in awe as performers take to the skies in this open air show set in a tropical rainforest.

Osadia
Byram Arcade - 6:00pm and 8:15pm


Hugely popular at the 2010 festival, Osadia take their eccentric hairdressing talents to a whole new level as they transform the hair of willing participants from the crowd.

Festival Light Garden
St Peter's Gardens 4pm-10pm
A light and music installation by pa-BOOM and Rag and Bone.

Lightweight and Lanturns
St George's Square 4-10pm


Part of St George's Square will be transformed into an interactive light installation during the festival, come and have a play!

Walk to the Stars
St George's Square - 7.45pm
The festival's main show, featuring high wire performers Jade Kindar-Martin and Didier Pasquette. The show lasts around 25 minutes.

Boîte de Rue
Huddersfield Open Market - from 8:15pm


Led by French performers Jo Bithume, Boîte de Rue is an open air nightclub with live brass musicians and dancers who will be eager to share their choreographed moves.
The show lasts just under two hours but is designed for people to come and go so make sure you don't miss your chance to come down and take part.

Live Music Stage
King Street - 6:00pm-10.00pm
Live music from some of the area's best musicians and bands (outdoors).

Nice Sharp Pencils - 6:15pm
The Nice Sharp Pencils are Ben Adey Vocals/Bass & Chris Smith, Drums/Vocals.
They play loud, distorted rock music with massive riffs and killer hooks.
Byron Street Social - 7:30pm
Seven-piece Reggae / Hip-Hop / Funk band
The Slingshots - 8:45pm

ZoomTrax
St Peter's Street - 12pm-10pm
Take a trip on Huddersfield’s first ever street toboggan, whizzing daredevil riders down St Peter’s Street and into the food and drink market. Small charge will apply.

Winter food and drink market
Byram Street - 12pm-10pm
Love Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival? Then you'll enjoy this festive version with over 20 stalls. Catch live music from Skiband and musicians from Kirklees Music School from 4pm.

The Art Arcade
Huddersfield Methodist Mission - 1:30pm-10pm
Art Arcade includes two free screenings of Frozen Valley (2pm and 3.30pm) - a film made by Beverley Addy featuring still and video images supplied by visitors and residents of the Colne Valley showing the 'big freeze' of 2009/10 which saw Linthwaite villagers crawling on their hands and knees to cross a frozen road and left isolated villagers stranded for weeks.
And at 2.30pm and 4pm, local photographer Andy Leader will share some of his favorite images with you.
Both activities are free to attend.
