Huddersfield's annual gay pride event took place at a host of bars and pubs in the town centre yesterday.

The Pink Trail – a replacement for the Pink Picnic – attracted hundreds to party in celebration of 28 years of gay pride in Huddersfield.

The trail, now in its second year, began at the Queens Tavern and went on to the Wellington, The Old Hatte and The Albert, finishing off at The New Union.

The Pink Picnic festival was cancelled last year due to soaring costs.

Dozens of people turned out at the events to enjoy the festivities in the sunshine.
