Location of landslip

The landslip occurred near the Dryclough Junction, approximately one mile south of Halifax Station.

It happened just after the junction where the Calder Valley line splits into two; one lines goes to Halifax and Bradford while the other goes to Brighouse and Leeds.

The land above the Halifax branch slid onto the track which is why trains are still running to Brighouse but not Halifax.
