Calderdale Council has announced the result of the Police and Crime Commissioner vote in the district.
Mark Burns-Williamson (Labour) came top with 22,936 votes. The full vote for West Yorkshire is still awaited

Motorway clear
Traffic has returned to normal and the road is clear with the removal of a broken down vehicle on the M1 Northbound between J40 A638 (Ossett / Wakefield) and J41 A650 (Carrgate)
M1 incident
Traffic is slow on the M1 Northbound, which is partially blocked due to a broken down vehicle between J40 A638 (Ossett / Wakefield) and J41 A650 (Carrgate).
The section involved has no hard shoulder on the route from Barnsley towards Leeds.

A 15-year-old deaf Huddersfield schoolgirl has scored on her debut for Yorkshire just months after taking up the sport and is already training with England.
Jodie Ounsley, a Year 10 student at Shelley College, has defied hearing impairment and a chronic knee condition to become the top try-scorer with Sandal Girls RUFC, despite only playing her first game in October. You can see more here.

The problem on the M1 which had been affecting traffic heading trowards Dewsbury has now been cleared.
A vehicle fire had closed the northbound exit slip road at junction 40 (Ossett / Wakefield).
The slip road has now re-opened.

The former Huddersfield Town and England striker Frank Worthington has Alzheimer’s disease, his daughter has announced.
The 67-year-old, who lives at Outlane and who made eight appearances for his country in 1974, scoring two goals, is fondly remembered for his striking skills with a whole host of clubs.
He was a star of the last Huddersfield Town team to go into the top flight as Second Division champions in 1969-70, and he is a still a regular at matches at the John Smith’s Stadium.
On her Facebook page, Kim-Malou Worthington wrote: “There have been a few wondering about my dad’s health recently and so I thought I should let you all know Frank Worthington has Alzheimer’s.”

The M1 northbound exit slip road is closed due to a vehicle fire at junction 40 (Ossett/Wakefield).
It’s affecting traffic heading towards Dewsbury.
It could cause minor problems, but at the moment traffic is said to be coping well.
Weather
This weekend could see Huddersfield’s weather match Madrid.
Temperatures are likely to reach 20°C but could be accompanied by showers and the chance of a thunderstorm.

It’s going to be a crucial close-season for Huddersfield Town’s chief executive Julian Winter as well as head coach David Wagner.
The 50-year-old former Town player is four weeks into his new job. While the current playing and coaching staff are set to head off for a break, Winter is looking forward to really getting down to business. You can see more here.

News
Two men will appear before magistrates this morning after being charged with the murder of Polish national Marcin Siarczynski.
Pawel Piotr Olszewski, 25, and Krzysztof Olszewski, 20, both from Ravensthorpe, will appear before Kirklees Magistrates in Huddersfield this morning after being charged with murder.
The men were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of the murder of Marcin, 37, whose body was found near to Low Mill Lane, Ravensthorpe on 14 March.
A 29 year old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries.
