An Almondbury primary school is struggling to fill a key teaching position.
Almondbury CofE (VA) Infant and Nursery School is looking for three new teachers for next year, but can’t find a leader for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
To help the situation, Kirklees Council is offering the position as a secondment placement.
The information was revealed in the newly-published Ofsted Section 8 report, which followed the full April inspection, when the 174-pupil school at Longcroft Road was graded ‘3 – Requires Improvement’.
School leaders have since developed an action plan focusing on short-term actions with a strategic long-term overview to drive up standards in teaching and learning.
