TOTS joined together to celebrate African cultures.

Tiddlywinks Nursery at the Deighton Centre joined with Chestnut Nursery for the celebrations.

Kerry Howling, assistant manager of Tiddlywinks, said the children dressed up in traditional costumes from all over the continent and enjoyed eating African food.

And children from Christ Church Woodhouse visited the Deighton Centre to give an African drumming performance.

Ms Howling said: “We’ve had a lot of children that have come over from Africa over the past few years.

“We have children from all over Africa including Zimbabwe, Somalia and The Democratic Republic of the Congo.”
