MANY people would never dream of going to an art gallery to see the latest exhibitions on offer.

But art is increasingly coming out of the galleries and being taken to the people.

It has appeared in cafes and bars in the town before now but the latest venture has it on show at Huddersfield Railway Station.

And with 15,000 people passing through the station every day there is a continual audience to see what’s on show.

Some will be bemused, some interested, some not, but they won’t miss it.

This a brilliant way for people to get their art seen and makes all that work well worthwhile.

Once it’s on such public show it’s certainly not just art for art’s sake.
