THERE’S a new place for people of all ages to create modern art in Holmfirth.
Back Lane Art Space, which opened last week at 22 Back Lane, off Station Road, offers space for local artists to hold their exhibitions.
And the space, opened by Chloe Williams and Craig Milburn, is offering lessons to everyone from pre-school children (Thursdays 10am-11.30am) to adults (Mondays 1pm-3pm).
There will also be an after-school club for 10 to 16-year-olds on Wednesdays (4pm-5.30pm).
Chloe, a former art lecturer, said: “We wanted to create a space where children can experiment and have fun.
“There isn’t anything quite like this available to pre-school children or teenagers and it’s a chance for them to learn new skills and really enjoy themselves.
“We’re hoping that adults will want to get involved too.”
