ANYONE for chess in Honley?
A resident is keen to set up a chess club in the valley village
Joe Frogartt writes in the village newsheet The Honley Flyer: “I wonder if there are sufficient people in Honley interested in playing chess to enable us to form a chess club.
“It would be
open to anyone, young or old, beginners to grandmasters.
“I would hope to start as a small group who would play simply for enjoyment but in the future, if there was the demand, we
could think of joining a local league.
