MAY we say a big thank you to all businesses and individuals who donated prizes for our auction and raffle for our fundraising night on behalf of the Stroke rehabilitation Unit at Bradley and Colne Bridge WMC on October 5.
With your support we raised a massive £3,103.90. Some £1,100 of that was raised by a 12-hour marathon of snooker, cribbage and dominoes which was held the week before at the club (what a team!).
The artists on the concert night, Vince Hughes, Maddie Storm and The Ukulele Man, with MC Mick Martin, gave us all a brilliant night of entertainment and they all gave their services for free. What a night.
Also thanks to club committee men David Walsh, Ray Townley and John Pickwell, whose help was invaluable, and to all members of Bradley and Colne Bridge Club who always give their support when it’s needed.
It was lovely to see so many ex-patients on the night. Thanks to you all for all your donations and your continuing support. It really does make our jobs worthwhile.
