A bridal gown designer visited Lindley Library to talk about his creations.

Local businessman Adam Shaw entertained an audience of more than 40 at the Lidget Street-based library.

He described the process of creating a bespoke occasion dress.

This was from his initial consultation with a client to creating a mood board, producing sketches and then making the dress.

Adam also spoke about his work in TV and film, as well as his time working for fashion companies and then as an independent designer.

He has created theatrical costumes for shows including an ITV dramatisation of Wuthering Heights and the Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister.

Adam is pictured with two of his bridal clients, Kelly Hallett and Lenore Peck, and Janice Kilroy from the library.
