NEW police officers are on the beat in Calderdale’s Lower Valley.

Sgt Gary Walker has just taken over duties for the Rastrick area.

He’s getting out and about meeting residents ahead of the forthcoming Police and Community Together (PACT) meetings next month.

Sgt Warren Pitman remains as the Neighbourhood Policing Team officer for Elland, Stainland and Greetland and Sgt Dean Maddocks covers the Brighouse, Hipperholme, Lightcliffe patch.
