Brighouse Juniors will kick off the new season in style.

The Under 11s have been sponsored by Blakeleys fish and chip shop and restaurant.

The youngsters have been kitted out thanks to the kindness of the Blakeley family - Gary Blakeley was the sponsor of the Brighouse Juniors 25 years ago when the shop was called the Dolphin with son Andy playing in the team.

Richard Brearley, manager of the Juniors, said: “The 11s are looking forward to a fun packed season. As well as the generous sponsorship the juniors have welcomed seven new players to the team.

“The door is always open to new players.”

The club has been busy since the close of last season - and after years of fundraising by members, and the generosity of club sponsor Millers Oil of Brighouse, a state-of-the-art 3G pitch has been built at Broad Oak.

People can go along to a fun-day on Sunday, September 7 from midday to see the new pitch, take part on children’s games, and find out more about the Juniors.

Anyone wanting their child to join the Juniors can contact Richard on 07917774673.
