PUPILS at a Brighouse school make the perfect roast dinner.

William Henry Smith School pupils took part in the Life Partnership Roast Dinner Day competition to find a local school with a delicious menu.

The Brighouse school took the crown and won a ‘Guest Chef’ to assist their catering team on Roast Dinner Day, plus a free hamper of local ingredients donated by the Keelham Farm Shop.

Paul Johnson, who heads up The Chefs’ School at The Viaduct met the school’s catering team and pupils as they had lunch and gave them a few tips.

Boys selected locally-sourced ingredients to win the prize.

The NHS Calderdale scheme aims to promote healthy food among young people in the Food for Life Partnership.
