NEW MILL Male Voice Choir was one of three choirs to feature in a special South Yorkshire charity effort.
The musical ensembles were joined by special guests for a fundraising evening in Sheffield to help military personnel.
Worrall Male Voice Choir organised the one-off concert with guests Bolsterstone Male Voice, the New Mill choir and Sheffield Youth Orchestra.
The night, held on Saturday, November 3, was hosted by BBC Look North presenter Christa Ackroyd at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, to raise funds for Help For Heroes.
Lewis Atkinson, chairman of Worrall Male Voice Choir, said: “We were delighted to organise this concert to raise awareness among the Sheffield public of what Help For Heroes does for our injured servicemen and women.
“More than 5,000 service personnel have come back from Afghanistan and Iraq maimed and injured and they desperately need our support in so many ways.”
In the audience were the Lord Lieutenant for South Yorkshire, the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Sheffield, plus guests from The Royal Hospital in Chelsea, and members of the Armed Forces.
