Summer movie is a big family favourite

BY POPULAR demand the next film at the Marsden film club will be a family favourite.

The classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! will be screened at the Ginger Bread House on Sunday June 9.

Organisers behind the monthly film club have been inundated with requests for the feel-good family movie.

The film will be screened at 1pm at Marsden Musical Institute, aka the Band Rooms in Marsden Lane.

A ‘healthy’ tuck shop will be serving treats and lunchtime snacks and the bar will be open for those over 18.

Tickets are available from Radish in Marsden with adults £4.50 and children £3.50.

Family tickets (one adult and two children) are £10.

The Ginger Bread House, named after the Marsden-based caterer, the Ginger Bread Man Richard Higg, was launched last October.

The next films are as follows: June 22; Food and Film (Bagdad Cafe, 7pm); July 6: Food and Film (Cinema Paradiso, 7pm); July 7: Family Film (My Neighbour Totoro, 1pm).
