Spate of seasonal crime across valley
POLICE in the Colne Valley have reported the following crimes in a 10-day period leading up to Wednesday December 19.
House burglaries took place in Lockbridge Way, Milnsbridge; New Hey Road, Outlane; Chapel Terrace, Crosland Moor and Northfield Avenue, Lockwood.
Marsden Cricket and Bowling Club was also broken into.
Cars were attacked in Manchester Road, Linthwaite and Hollins Glen, Gordon Street, Holme Mills and Manchester Road, all in Slaithwaite; Leymoor Road, Golcar; Quarmby Road, Quarmby; Old Railway Goods Yard, Scar Lane, Milnsbridge; St Marks Road, Longwood; Blackmoorfoot Road and Sandene Avenue, Crosland Moor; and Clough Road, Bolster Moor.
Elsewhere, lead was stolen from White Hill, Slaithwaite, and there were thefts from gardens in Causeway Side, Linthwaite, and Royd Street, Longwood.
Windows at homes in Fenton Road, Lockwood, and College Street, Crosland Moor, were smashed and a car was set on fire in a driveway at Coppice Drive, Netherton.
