MILNSBRIDGE: Feb 17. Thieves broke into an industrial unit on Tanyard Road and stole electrical goods and tools before being disturbed by a security guard and running off.

GOLCAR: Feb 17. Burglar threw large stone through kitchen window of unoccupied house, stole electrical goods and left through door using a key which had been left in the lock by the homeowner.

Feb 19. Red Nissan Serena stolen after it was left unattended with its engine running.

Feb 20. Burglar broke into house and tried to steal boiler. Police arrived and arrested suspect.

CROSLAND HILL: Feb 14. Cash, jewellery and electrical goods stolen from house.

CROSLAND MOOR: Feb 16. Suspect arrested attempting to steal lead from St Luke’s Hospital.

Feb 17. Vandal damaged car by pushing it on to its side.

Feb 17. Burglar climbed up scaffolding to get on to roof of house and then broke in through bedroom window, activating the alarm in the process. Suspect then tried to silence the device by pulling it from the wall.

LINTHWAITE: Feb 14. Thief smashed back windscreen of car and stole power tools.

Feb 16. Burglar stole furniture and two heaters from house.

SCAPEGOAT HILL: Feb 16. Burglar broke into house and stole power tools.

SLAITHWAITE: Feb 19. Vandals broke into Colne Valley Leisure Centre and damaged air conditioning units.

MARSDEN: Feb 18. Thief stole heavy-duty batteries from boat moored on Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Feb 20. Vandal opened lock gate on Huddersfield Narrow Canal causing water to flood into boat, damaging the contents.

POLE MOOR: Feb 20. Burglar broke into house and stole figurines and keys to BMW. Unable to start car as battery was flat. Also threw large stone through window of static caravan sited at the property.
