Feb 4. Vandals kicked bodywork of two cars. Police arrested three men.

Feb 5. CD player and cash stolen from car.

Feb 5. Two burglars tried to break into a house by bending the garage door. They were disturbed by homeowner and ran off. First suspect is a white man aged between 25 and 30, skinny, 6ft 2in with short dark hair, wearing dark blue Henri Lloyd hoodie. Second suspect’s ethnicity unknown. He is 5ft 10in and was wearing a baseball cap.

SLAITHWAITE: Feb 2. Window of car smashed and sat-nav stolen.

Feb 4. Intruder broke into Colne Valley Leisure Centre on New Street, but nothing stolen.

MILNSBRIDGE: Feb 3. Outer pane of double-glazed window smashed.

GOLCAR: Feb 4. Stained glass house window smashed.

LONGWOOD: Feb 5. Mugger grabbed woman’s handbag and tried to pull it from her shoulder. She kept hold of her bag. Attacker assaulted her before running off. Suspect is white male in his late teens or early 20s, slim build, 5ft 8in tall with dark hair, wearing blue jeans and dark jacket.

CROSLAND MOOR: Feb 2. Burglar attempted to break into a house by forcing open the UPVC kitchen window.
