SLAITHWAITE: Mar 7. Burglar forced open wooden door to get into house. Suspect ran off when alarm sounded.

Mar 8. Thief stole fuel from vehicle.

MARSDEN: Mar 8. Thieves took pile of stone blocks from outside parish church.

Mar 9. Lead flashing stolen from outbuilding.

SCAMMONDEN: Mar 9. Thief entered fenced compound and siphoned fuel from vehicles.

LINTHWAITE: Mar 11. Thieves took bicycle from front of house.

CROSLAND MOOR: Mar 10. Rock thrown through living room window.

Mar 10. Thief entered Singh Stores on Church Avenue and asked for razor blades. Suspect grabbed charity box and ran off.

Mar 11. Stone thrown through ground floor window of Conservative Club on Park Road.

THORNTON LODGE: Mar 12. Thief took car which had been left on driveway with keys in ignition and engine running. Vehicle recovered after collision.

MILNSBRIDGE: Mar 6. Thief took manhole cover from street.

Mar 9. Burglar opened fire escape door of CTL Supplies on Britannia Road and stole property. Suspect arrested.

Mar 10. Burglar pulled away roofing material in attempt to get into garage, but ran off when disturbed by homeowner. Suspect is white man, aged 25 to 30, of average build with short hair. He was wearing a dark top.

GOLCAR: Mar 7. Man entered Co-op on Leymoor Road with a broken bottle and demanded money. Thief grabbed cash from the till and ran off. Suspect is white, of average build and 5ft 9in tall. He was wearing a light grey Adidas hooded top with yellow stripes down the sleeves and logo on the hood and chest; light grey Adidas tracksuit bottoms with dark stripes down the legs and dark Adidas trainers.

Mar 9. Thief broke into unlocked car and stole handbag.

COWLERSLEY: Mar 9. Burglar smashed kitchen window and entered house. He then began removing electrical goods from their sockets but ran off empty-handed when resident returned home.
