TWO events this weekend brought thousands of people together for a good cause and for some much needed fun.

The Race for Life once again proved to be a massive hit and helped boost Cancer Research UK’s work by around £250,000.

It gave people other opportunity to remember loved ones who battled with cancer and help others facing the disease.

Also the Huddersfield Carnival injected some vibrancy to the town centre and entertained hundreds of families lining the route.

Both events were a huge success and that’s down to the hard work of the people who dedicated a lot of time to making them such great fun.

Well done to all involved.
