Calling all Huddersfield bakers!
The Zone in Leeds Road is inviting residents to support its Macmillan Coffee morning fundraising event later this month.
And to add further funds to the pot, they are organising a bake off with guest judge Gary Shuttleworth from the Huddersfield Cupcake Company.
Laura Hanson, of Huddersfield Community Trust said: “All the fantastic cakes and buns entered into the competition will then go on sale to help with the fundraising effort.
“Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. And as treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives.
“The money raised at the coffee morning will help make sure no one has to face cancer alone, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond.”
There will also be football, rugby and dance as well as the running the weekly Babes n Tots session.
The event will be hosted on Friday September 26 at the Zone on Leeds Road from 9am – 11am and will be charging £2 per adult entry and free for children.
