TIME is running out for local schools to benefit from a national supermarket voucher scheme.

Colne Valley Specialist Arts College is one of several Kirklees schools taking part in the Tesco Schools & Clubs vouchers scheme.

There is just over a week to go until the closing date on Sunday May 9 and schools are being encouraged to save as many vouchers as possible.

Sending in the vouchers will give children in Huddersfield the opportunity to get a wide range of equipment that will enhance their education and encourage them to discover new activities.

From footballs to foam javelins and laptops to Lego, this year’s Tesco for Schools & Clubs catalogue contains items to make learning and playtime more fun and engaging.

Josh Hardie, head of corporate responsibility at Tesco added: “Over the past 19 years, Tesco has given away millions of pounds worth of equipment and we want to make this another bumper year.”
