EARLIER this week we urged people to report all crime.
That stance has been justified by the launch of the new website www.police.uk which reveals the crime toll street by street.
Only crimes that have been reported will make it onto the website and so that is why everything should be reported so the police – and now everyone – can see the major crime and anti-social behaviour hotspots.
If you don’t report incidents then the police will not target resources and increase patrols to tackle them.
Once that happens, the chances of catching the perpetrators who bring misery to so many lives will no doubt be increased.
