NEWS ROUNDUPFOCUS WEEK ACTIVITYOn Wednesday April 14 officers from Huddersfield Neighbourhood Police Teams in conjunction with the Divisional Drugs Team executed four search warrants in the Emley, Clayton West and Grange Moor areas of the town. The raids were executed simultaneously at just after 10am Wednesday morning, utilising more than 25 police officers and community support officers. More than £33,000 of suspected cocaine and large amounts of cash have been recovered as a result of the raids. A 30-year-old male from Clayton West, a 27-year-old female from Emley, a 37-year-old female and 32-year-old male from the Grange Moor area have all been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A controlled drugs. All four of the arrested persons have been bailed pending the results of forensic testing. Detective Sergeant Damian Roebuck from the Divisional Drugs Team said: "We are working closely with our colleagues in the Neighbourhood Police Teams to develop community intelligence. This success is a result of this collaboration. We will continue to disrupt the drugs supply in the Kirklees area in this way."
