Cumberworth Carnival a community day to remember

IT was a carnival for the community.

And everyone pitched in to make it a day to remember.

At Cumberworth First School – where Cumberworth Carnival was hosted – the carnival King Harry Self and Queen Zoe Draper-Thomas were crowned.

And carnival-goers enjoyed a whole range of dance performances from zumba to routines by local school children.

The men in the village organised a tug-o’-war competition.

And the Star pub set up a beer tent and Gawthorpe Butchers provided a hog roast.

The Cumberworth Carnival was organised by The Cumberworth Community Association.
