A colourful procession passed through North Huddersfield on Saturday which showcased the community spirit at its finest.
Organisers of Deighton Carnival had once again pulled out all the stops to ensure the event pulled in the crowds and kept them entertained.
Music poured out from a main stage on Deighton Sports Fields and an array of stalls and activities were in the offing.
Sports tournaments kicked off at 9am both on the fields and inside the neighbouring Deighton Sports Centre.
This year’s carnival had live entertainment from local groups and dancers and there was a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere.
