I HAVE been having problems with my short legs for years but at least I have got my tracksuits sorted out.

During the summer months I tend to live in shorts. During the winter I prefer the warmth and comfort of track suit trousers around the house. But I can never get any to fit.

After I highlighted the difficulties, Jennie Coxon suggested I do what a friend of her's did when her dad had the same problem: she bought him boys tracksuit bottoms.

That was one solution about which I was reticent.

Me? Hanging around the boys department in a sports shop during school hours? I could risk getting snatched by the truant officer and sent back to the classroom.

Then Margaret Helen Smith suggested Cotton Traders, a sports store I have used before when buying Guinness shirts for my son-in-law Ronan's birthday and Christmas presents. They never fail to please, him being Irish

Margaret said her husband gets his track suit trousers from there, because they have them in both waist and inside leg sizes. Sorted!
