THE girls of 1941 are having a reunion. Wendy Cowgill (nee Gledhill) tells me it is for girls who were born in that particular war year, who attended Longley Hall Secondary School from 1952 to 1957.
“Longley Hall gave us girls a good, all-round education, and promoted high standards of behaviour. We hope to meet for lunch on Thursday, November 10, at the Traveller's Rest at Brockholes.”
This will be followed by a tour of Longley Hall School.
