WE would like to say how much we appreciate the change of direction now being adopted over Almondbury library. We also want to thank all the people who attended the public consultation meeting on Tuesday for their support and the many people who have signed the petition to keep the library where it is.

We hope that retaining the library in its present location, and extending the premises will benefit all its current users and expanding the facilities will hopefully attract more people in the village to use the improved services. We are pleased that the children’s centre is still planned for the Fussey’s site, and hope this can be combined with a children’s library, which we fully endorse. We look forward with interest to future developments.
