Youngsters in Skelmanthorpe had lots of fun keeping busy during the Easter holidays by following the Easter Trail, which is an annual event in the village.

The event was organised by Deacon Jane Paine and Rose Merry, on behalf of Skelmanthorpe Methodist Church.

Lots of shops and businesses took part by displaying posters in their windows, showing highlighted information and pictures about Easter customs, both at home and in other countries.

More than 90 children took part by searching for the relevant poster and linking the number displayed on it to the number on their fact sheet, with the children receiving a small egg for their completed sheet.

The organisers wish to thank all the children who took part and also the participating shops and businesses which sponsored the event, by either providing prizes or giving a donation for prizes and costs.
