CHILDREN from three primary schools joined in the Christmas festivities in Elland.
Pupils of Elland Church of England, Cross Lane and St Patrick’s primary schools sang Christmas carols and songs around the Christmas tree in Elland town centre.
The children visited Santa’s grotto, where they were given a gift as a thank-you for singing.
A Secret Santa stall at the event raised £110 for the When You Wish Upon A Star charity.
The evening ended with a firework display
Tomorrow Oliver's Restaurant in Elland is holding a free Christmas party for children aged between two and seven from the Elland area, from 4pm-6pm and 6pm-8pm. Parents must book a place by calling David on 01422 377483.
