THERE is sometimes a lot of criticism about hospitals and the National Health Service, but I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, mainly Ward 15 and Surgical Assessment Unit.
They helped to reassure my mum Mary, who recently spent a week there but is now thankfully on the road to recovery at home. She was nervous about a few things, but they were so nice to her.
All the nurses, doctors and cleaning staff do a brilliant job and the ward was nice and clean. No-one likes staying in hospital, but sometimes you have no choice. So it’s nice when the staff are so good, even though they are very busy and work so hard. They are worth their weight in gold.
Also a big thank you to Donna Wood, my sister, also a nurse. She obviously loves mum so much, but being there so much for mum helped her and all of us as well.
