Local history buffs are being invited to take a look at Farnley Estates’ new website. The estate has improved and increased the content on its website to feature more information about its background and its work.

Paul Sykes, Farnley Estates Director, said: “We’re in the process of putting together our 25-year plan for the Estate, and having a website that reflects our proactive, inclusive approach, is important. Our intention is that the website will grow into a useful resource that can be used by local people, schools and visitors to the region, in fact anyone with an interest in the Estate and the surrounding area.”

The website’s new features include links to the various clubs and organisations that call Farnley Estates home, links to Twitter and Facebook, a useful event’s calendar and a dedicated farming section. There’s also a ‘Future’ section, which invites people to give their thoughts and views on how they’d like to see Farnley Estates evolve in the future.

Over the coming weeks, there are plans to grow the website further by including downloadable maps of walks around the Estate, and resources for schools.
