THE exodus has begun as Huddersfield Town fans travel to the capital to see the team contesting one of the last eight places in this season’s FA Cup.

It’s a colossal task to take on Chelsea at their home ground and supporters will be hoping against hope that they can do it.

But it is all put into perspective by the news that former Town boss Peter Jackson is fighting throat cancer.

Football will be taking a back seat for him as he steps down from the manager’s seat at Lincoln City to undergo lengthy radiotherapy.

Peter Jackson was one of the most loyal servants Town ever had, as a player and then manager, and the hearts of many people in Huddersfield will go out to him as he fights his battle.

We send all the best to him and his family and wish him a speedy recovery.
