A TEENAGE girl has been moved out of her Huddersfield home to get away from sexual exploitation by dirty old men.
Let’s hope that in this particular instance the moral damage can be repaired and the young lady goes on to have a fulfilled life.
There are still plenty of people who deny that this sort of abuse is a real problem and it is disturbing to hear a claim that Kirklees Council’s social services does not seem to have done all it could.
We have come to accept that grooming goes on over the internet, but we also have to wake up to the fact that it is being done face to face on the ground here in Huddersfield.
The men who put these young people at risk clearly have no morals, no thought for anyone but themselves and no respect for the rule of law.
They must be stopped. The alternative is to allow them to proceed with their cynical practices until a child is injured, or worse, killed, before action is taken.
Arrests must be made and the sooner the better. A civilised society must stop exploitation wherever it exists and time must be called on these perverts and their evil practices so that no-one else is put at risk.
