They were great days and sadly they will never come back.

But while they can never be directly revisited at least there are school reunions where old boys, girls and teachers can get together and reminisce.

Graham Smith said: “Myself and Deborah Senior have organised a big Stile Common School reunion.

“So we are trying to get together many of the old pupils and staff covering the years 1976-89.

“One of the great teachers, Mr Tony Cooke will be attending all the way from Cornwall.”

The event is being sponsored by Mike Andy Entertainments who are providing audio visuals and entertainment.

It will take place on Friday, September 12, at Longley Park Golf Club.

Anyone interested in attending should phone Graham on 07581 147 222.
