TODAY 280 people will get on their bikes for a charity effort which has really caught people’s imaginations.
The Huddersfield Town fans are cycling 250 miles from Yeovil to the Galpharm Stadium as part of the Pedal for Pounds 3 challenge in aid of Town’s Keep It Up campaign.
Some of the cyclists will have been on the club’s two previous cycle challenges, some will be new. Among the newer team members are the Town Tandemettes, a group of six women who will complete the challenge on tandem.
However they do it, the 280 supporters have a town cheering them on and helping them raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Town’s Youth Academy.
Good luck to all those involved, well done to all those who have sponsored them and let’s hope the cyclists have a safe trip back to the Galpharm and receive a massive welcome back home.
