Origin of roads
MEMBERS of Huddersfield Pennine Probus Club enjoyed a talk about the origin of our roads. The group were joined by guest speaker Janet Strine when they met at Oakes Baptist Church. She gave an illustrated talk entitled ‘milestones, highways and waymakers’. The group’s next meeting is today. Guest speaker is Geoff Budd, whose talk is ‘Tunis to the Sahara’.
