IT’S disappointing that once again children have to shame adults into parking sensibly outside schools.

It’s a perennial problem across Huddersfield with parents often parking on the zig-zag lines to drop their children off.

All-too-often this is nothing more than sheer laziness.

The junior and infants schools at Lindley have the same problem, but they are next to narrow George Street, blocking in people who live there and delaying them when they need to leave for work or to take their children to other schools.

The youngsters have surveyed the volume of traffic, produced charts and written letters about the problem to give to their parents.

And it begs the question. If the parents don’t listen to their children, just who will they heed?
