Cucumber sandwiches and cakes were enjoyed at a fundraising high tea event for the Mayor of Kirklees’ charity.
Mandy Foster, manager of Pennine Manor Hotel at Scapegoat Hill, invited the public to enjoy an afternoon teas of tasty treats in return for a donation to the Mayor’s charity.
Mandy said: “I was looking for a local charitable cause on the internet and the One Community Foundation for Kirklees came up.
“I found out it was the mayor’s charity and got in touch with Clr Martyn Bolt and he was delighted to come along.”
And Mandy, who took over as manager in July, said she hopes to hold other fundraising events in future to help the local community.
One Community Foundation for Kirklees was created in 2010 to generate financial support for Kirklees based community activities
