Appeal: Serious Road Crash, Huddersfield Road, MelthamPolice in Kirklees are repeating their appeal for witnesses to the serious road crash on Huddersfield Road on Saturday February 19. The incident happened at just before 1.30pm on the junction with Huddersfield Road and Bent Ley Road and involved a black BMW and a Ford Fiesta. Four people in total were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. The 56 year old woman driver of the Fiesta and her passenger, a 43 year old man, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 32 year old driver of the BMW and his female passenger both sustained minor injuries. Anyone with any information or who saw the vehicles prior to the incident is asked to contact Huddersfield Roads Policing on 01484 436847.
VEHICLE CRIMEAn unlocked car was entered on Lydgate Drive and power tools stolen.

Since the start of PACT meetings we here in The Valleys have attended area committee meetings and given an update at those. As the area committees have all merged to form The Town and Valley Committee in relation to public meetings we will continue to hold our PACT meetings at Holmfirth Police Station due to the infrequency of the new area committee meetings. Holmfirth Police Station is the new venue for the Holme Valley PACT Meetings. The times and dates for your diary are – all meetings are on Thursdays, starting at 6pm: March 31, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 21, August 18, September 22, October 20,November 17 and December 15.
