ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR The local priority in Honley and Brockholes, is concentrating on antisocial behaviour (ASB) in Honley. Minor ASB has been reported, but some residents say they had seen an improvement. While this is encouraging we still believe there is more work to do and will continue to patrol likely areas of ASB, which include Marsh Gardens, the skate park off Jagger Lane and Queens Business Park. If we keep on top of things now, we shouldn't have any major problems as the evenings get lighter. There have been parking problems outside the Chinese takeaway and on Concorde street. The skate park on Jagger lane was also highlighted as a problem area. We will address the issue of parking separately to the local priority, and problems on Jagger Lane will be included in the local priority patrols.

THEFT WARNINGWill all car owners please use garages and drives when they can and remove all valuables from your cars. If the thieves look in and find there is nothing to see they will not waste their time breaking into your car.

BIKE MENACEIts that time of year when illegal use of motorbikes increases. If you are suffering from nuisance of this type please try and get as much information about the bikes and the riders, especially a registration number if possible, but while doing so please do not put yourself in harm’s way.

PROBLEM PARKINGThere are still issues on Springwood Road and Heys Road, Thongsbridge, with people parking their cars on a weekend in an antisocial manner. Patrols in the area have been increased and any further incidents of illegal parking will be dealt with by way of a fixed penalty notice.
