Outrageous behaviour, since 2004 when they all got a new NHS contract with massive pay increases and on mass stopped weekend working they seem to have systematically milked the system. Not only does it seem immoral to milk the sick when they try to make an appointment the system is set up to maximise the time you are on the phone thus generating more money for the "hard up" GP's. Long gone are the days when GP's were respected pillars of society.

I was in my Doctor's waiting room weeks ago, and I noticed a poster proudly displayed on the notice board, stating the new telephone system in use does not cost anymore than a standard telephone call. They should be done for Trade Description Offences! But seriously though, if you are calling from a mobile, it will cost a fortune just to make an appointment, hence the long queue of people outside the surgery from 7.15am. It needs to be stopped!

He's already had an increase in the precept for policing from us. It's time he looked at proper savings in the organisation he's now the titular head of.
He gets £100k+ to take the flak and make unpopular decisions. The fact that it should be the current government is neither here nor there. He's now the political face of the service in West Yorkshire.
