Young sports stars have been honoured at a new awards ceremony.
The inaugural Sports Personalities of the Year Awards were held at Huddersfield New College.
Sport plays a huge role at the college with a large number of the student body studying the subject and playing in teams.
Staff decided it was time to launch an event to showcase their talent.
The ceremony was hosted by head of academies Jamie Marsden and attended by sports staff, the senior leadership team and governors.
Principal Angela Williams led the introductions and talked about the talented students, past and present, who have studied sport at the college.
Winners on the evening included George Richardson, Israel Henderson, Alice Linsell and Molly Irons, with awards being handed out across the sporting disciplines.
Mr Marsden said: “The inaugural Sports Personalities of the Year Awards were highly successful.
“With the hundreds of students who study the subject and take part in the academy teams, it’s great to be able to celebrate the commitment, come rain or shine, that our students show to sport.”
