Dean Hoyle helped launch the Town Foundation’s 11th ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Club at Ravensthorpe CE Junior School.

The Town chairman was joined by wife Janet and fellow Town Foundation trustees Stuart Bragan and Caroline Lee as the school served breakfast for the first time. More than 50 children turned up for the healthy and nutritious start to the day – many youngsters started queuing from 7.30am.

The charity’s trustees were assisted by expert advisors Teresa Whyte and Jeanette Cartwright. Also there were Paul Radcliffe, of Town partners Radcliffe Construction, and Simon Howarth, of Total Foodservice, a company instrumental in the formation of the breakfast club project.

Club ambassador Andy Booth and his mascot namesake Captain Booth joined in the fun.

The foundation’s corporate fundraising officer Mandy Taylor said: “The feedback from the children at the breakfast club was tremendous with many of the pupils going back for seconds and thirds.”

The foundation now serves an average of 750 breakfasts a day.
