Two Huddersifeld University students are getting in the saddle for a charity bike ride in aid of Crossroads Care.

Novice cyclist Kyle Abbott and Cameron Hodgson, both 21, will be cycling from Scarborough via Whitby to Blackpool in three days.

And they were keen to visit Crossroads Care which is based off Leeds Road to have their photos taken ahead of the challenge.

Mary Rogers, Volunteer fundraiser for Carers Trust/Crossroads said “The guys wanted to make a difference and faced disappointment when they had to postpone their John O’Groats to Land’s End cycle ride for the charity until next year. But like all adventurers they found a way of reaching their sponsorship goal. The experience will bring pain and exhaustion with it but then they will remember the many carers who will benefit.”

The duo have been supported in their efforts by Velocity Cycles in Lindley, who discounted some of the equipment and the Children’s Book Shop in Lindley also helped. All cash raised will go to Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire Crossroads Carer Service.
