iconic Kirkheaton pub the Beaumont Arms has reopened its doors.

Business partner Holme Valley Inns and owners Punch Taverns have invested £250,000 in its refurbishment.

Situated at Church Lane, the historic hostelry has been closed for a number of weeks while the work took place.

Mark Oldfield, for Holme Valley Inns, said he was delighted with how the changes are coming along.

He said: “There are a lot of changes taking place at the Beaumont and they are all start to come together perfectly.

“The pub is in a fantastic location and is a very iconic pub in the local area, so with these changes, we are aiming to restore it back to its glory days.”

A complete redecoration has taken place, leaving the pub with new décor and a fresher look all round. Externally, the refurbishment has left the pub with a more welcoming look to it.

“We are looking to make the most of our excellent new function room that can be used for private events such as wedding parties.

“On top of that, we will also be serving great British and traditional pub food alongside a selection of the finest real ales and craft beers.”

Punch Taverns’ New Business Development Manager Sarah Dinning added: “The Beaumont Arms is part of the £45 million we are spending on pubs across the UK, and part of the £1 million we have spent in the Huddersfield area.

“Everybody is looking forward to getting the pub reopened and I fully expect this iconic pub to remain as one of the area’s leading outlets. Mark and the team have some fantastic plans.”
