THERE was food for thought at a Grange Moor restaurant.
Indiana, at Liley Lane opened its doors in the village and customers were invited to a free buffet meal, but asked to make a small donation to the community.
The two chosen causes were Grange Moor Primary School and Lord Mayor of Wakefield Clr Ros Lund’s chosen charity, which is Pinderfields Children’s Burns Club.
The event raised £220, which will be split equally between the two good causes.
Headteacher of Grange Moor Primary School Mr Mark Rodgers was informed of the donation from the restaurant via a member of staff who had dined there.
He was surprised and thanked the restaurant for their generous donation.
He said: “We are currently developing our playground and this money will go towards some equipment.”
